Accidental Benefits

Many contracts will pay lifetime benefits if the insured is injured in an accident, but only pay benefits to age 65 if you are disabled because of sickness. From a financial planning perspective, you are just as badly affected if you are disabled because of sickness as you are if disabled by an accident. Accordingly, it makes no sense to try to get a better accident benefit than sickness benefit.
